CARGO SYSTEM RETROFIT PROJECT
While interning at UTC Aerospace Systems, I was assigned as the mechanical design lead for a high priority cargo system retrofit project. The goal was to design a retrofit solution for our Power Drive Units (PDUs) so that airlines with a competitors cargo system could replace their PDUs with ours. This project received extremely high visibility from corporate UTAS, and was expedited due to its high revenue potential.
PROJECT OUTCOMES
Worked with a wide range of people across several disciplines.
Worked successfully under pressure with significant time constraints and deadlines.
Presented and defended my design solutions to management personnel.
Worked with customer feedback to improve upon initial designs.
Final design was successful and passed the on-aircraft fit check.
